CELEBRATION OF IRISH DANCE & MUSIC MAY 23rd AT 3:00PM

The Helena Community Irish Dancers are planning a special 2-hour Celebration of Irish Dance and Celtic Music on Sunday May 23rd, 2010 at the Helena Middle School Auditorium.  The dance program will feature all Helena Community Irish Dancers in a variety of traditional and non-traditional Irish soft shoe and hard shoe dances as well as live music provided by “The Special Session” in their 5th Annual School Show & Fundraiser. 

The show begins at 3:00pm and will not only feature a non-stop lineup of thrilling dancing and the spectacular sound of Celtic music, but also a Silent Auction, with a portion of the proceeds going to help build an orphanage in Haiti. 

Pre-sale tickets are $5 ($7 at the door).  Tickets can be reserved by calling Jaymie Lewis at 443-6593 or by emailing your name and number of tickets you would like reserved and waiting at will-call to info@irishdancemt.com. 

The Helena Community Irish Dancers have been entertaining audiences around Montana for the last 5 years with a variety of athletic, powerful, and graceful choreographies.  Currently, their instructor, Jaymie Lewis, is the only certified Irish Dancing instructor living in the state of Montana.

HELENA COMMUNITY IRISH DANCERS WIN BIG

Dancers from the Helena Community Irish Dancers competed in Seattle, Washington April 23-24 in their first Feis.  A feis is an Irish Dancing competition.

Approximately 525 dancers participated in the competition, and all seven dancers from the Helena Community Irish Dancer were successful in bringing home many medals and trophies.
